RACHEL STILL WEEPS

Why does Rachel weep?.In Matthew 2:17-18 after narrating the slaughter of the little children at Bethlehem by the troops of Herod the evangelist writes.."Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet[Jeremiah31:15] 'IN RAMA WAS THERE A VOICE HEARD,LAMENTATION,AND WEEPING AND GREAT MOURNING,RACHEL WEEPING FOR HER CHILDREN,AND WOULD NOT BE COMFORTED,BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT'".Rachel was a bilical character,who had difficulty bearing children,.Often the matriarchs were barren because God desired their prayers and it made them more spiritual through their pain and suffering.Rachel was to become a woman of great promise
Finally, Rachel did have children "God remembered Rachel,and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb,and she conceived and bore a son; and said God has taken away my reproach;and she called his name Joseph"Genesis 30:22-23. She gave birth ,eventually, to a second son and she named him Ben-Oni (son of my affliction) It was in giving this birth she would die.
Jacob changed the name of this child to Benjamin(son of my right hand).Rachel was buried in Bethlehem, and to this day women pray at her tomb for deliverance of the inability to conceive a child.And she still weeps for her aborted children.
Abortion is our greatest tragedy, and exists because we are spiritually and mentally
blind. We are unwilling to support our weakest member of society.Our indifference to our unborn children reflects our dark ignorances and has spread through the nations of the world like an untamed dreaded disease. Abortion will end when physical diseases overtakes the masses,and mental inharmonies rise to such a degree that man
through the laws of nature and God willbe forced to recognise that God is our source of light,birth and creation. Then we shall weep as Rachel weeps for the children of our lost generations,
